Girls Clinic (G34)

 

 

This division is exclusively girls, grades 3&4.

 

This division holds an evaluation in October.  No one is cut.  Players are rated on ability, and height is measured.  These metrics allow coaches to form balanced teams.  Coaches do not select their own teams.

 

We do not allow carpools at any level.

 

Skills become slightly more advanced, but there are still many first-time players.

Location:             Piney Ridge Elementary School / SCSC (South Carroll Senior Center) (Historically)

Frequency:          Twice per week

Duration:             One hour

Weeknight:         One weeknight (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)  /  Start Time:  6pm/7pm           

Weekend:            Primary Saturday  /  Start Time:  On the hour, starting between 9am and 3pm

                            Occasional Additional Sunday  /  Start Time:  On the hour, starting between 1pm and 5pm

Tournament:       No

Awards:              Each player receives a medallion or trophy for participation

 

 

The early season uses both sessions for practice.  As we get into late December or early January, weeknights are normally used for practices, and weekends are for scrimmage games.  Each Saturday is scrimmage game day, however, there could be weeks when there are scrimmage games on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

There are no ‘official’ games, meaning we don’t keep official score or record wins and losses.  While there might be a scoreboard provided, there are rules regarding how scores are reflected during the game.

 

We do generally have enough 'striped shirt' officials to cover these 'games'.  In the event we do not,  coaches serve as ‘officials’ for and enforce the rules during that time.

 

Playing time rules apply, based on the number or players present for a team on scrimmage/game day.
